2D DESIGNER Update History

At PROCAD, we strive to continually improve our products in order to best serve our client's needs. The list below contains some examples of changes made to the software over the past few months, but is by no means an exhaustive list.

2D DESIGNER V2008

February 2008

• Updated CrypKey Engine to build 7103
• Updated Microsoft redistributable file which was required to run install on Server 2003
• Improved dialog box for 2D DESIGNER.exe to include AutoCAD only option

November 2007

• Added AutoCAD 2004, 2005, 2006 compatibility
• Fixed issues with S/F in the BOM Settings Manager for V2004S and V2002 files
• Fixed problem with Select Item dialog appear multiple times
• Fixed problem with Sort by Destination and material ballooning
• Improved undo functionality

October 2007

• Vista 32-bit compatibility
• Fixed issue with license manager - not able to paste all 4 site codes at once
• Improved dimensioning in AutoISO when dimensioning reaches crosses, tees

2D DESIGNER V2007

June 2007

• Fixed problem with dimension on eccentric reducers and swages coming in overlapping or the wrong direction
• Fixed problem with Standard only loading in AutoORTHO
• Fixed problem in AutoORTHO and AutoELECTRIC with text width being scaled
• Improved the precision in BOM output for English lengths

March 2007

• NEW FEATURE: Thread engagement calculations and thread engagement table added
• Resolved issue with lap joint flanges
• License Manager - Fixed problem when copying kill codes
• Standards Manager - Added a setting for Text Width
• Specification Manager - Fixed problem with adding socket weld tee to existing specs
• Fixed error with ballooning when some components not included in BOM

March 2007

• Project Manager - Added a setting for Text Width

January 2007

• Fixed problem when placing a BOM for newly added components
• Added the ability in BOM Settings Manager to hide the group name
• Fixed error with the evaluation mode

October 2006

• Improved ability and consistency when opening multiple drawings under one Project
• Fixed problem with Undo Last Command in AutoISO and AutoORTHO
• Added Location filter in BOM routine to finish replacing AutoDATA functionality
• Fixed compile problem that interefered with AutoCAD's design center
• Added zero suppression as a dimension option in Project Manager

May 2006

• Can now generate Equipment lists based on Equipment tags in AutoORTHO (Professional only)
• Information from the Tag field of a Special Item will now appear in the Misc column in the BOM (Professional only)
• Selecting Other for the Gasket thickness in a specification will cause the program to prompt for the thickness of each gasket placed (Professional only)
• Can turn on/off multiple lines at the same time in the Line Filter routine (Professional only)

March 2006

• Added unique centreline symbol scale for AutoISO and AutoORTHO (Professional only)
• Minor improvements to Project Manager (Professional only)
• Resolved problem with threadolets not appearing as separate items in BOM due to lack of branch information (Standard only)
• Resolved problem with adding reducing tees in AutoORTHO - incorrect error message being displayed (Professional only)

February 2006

• Fixed lap joint flange dimensioning. Dimension was being duplicated in the flange portion.
• Fixed BOM Generator to allow multi-spaces in component description (Professional only)
• Minor improvements to Project Manager (Professional only)
• Added "Male x Female" option for Needle Valves in AutoORTHO (Professional only)
• Fixed problem with Break Steel routine (Professional only)

December 2005

• Improved horizontal vessel views for adding supports and boots in AutoORTHO (Professional only)
• Added DIMGAP variable into the Project Manager (Professional only)
• Added Remove Info block in AutoORTHO (Standard only)

October 2005

• Thermal valve now appears in Bill of Material (Professional only)
• Fixed the ability to delete multiple line numbers in the Project Manager (Professional only)
• Fixed problem with new line numbers created in applications. Previously, it was not possible to use the line numbers right away. (Professional only)
• Added the ability to have program "remember" if toolbox was open or closed. (Standard only)
• Fixed spec break in AutoISO
• Added AutoDATA output to match output format from V2002

September 2005

• Added ability to password protect specifications (Professional only)
• Added the ability to export specifications in Professional or Standard format
• Added 9000# small bore information (Professional only)
• Fixed problem in spec generator with second drop down box for components that only have one weight (i.e. not reducing)
• Fixed error message that appeared in AutoCAD 2006 when you go to customize interface
• Ensured AutoData worked the same from the toolbar and toolbox
• Added the ability to have program "remember" if toolbox was open or closed
