Spec Generator
Create Your Own Pipe Specs
The Spec Generator enables you to create your own pipe specs from PapriCAD and 2D DESIGNER’s vast database that includes an extensive library of components in a variety of ratings and material. Spec Generator’s source database includes pipe ratings from 150 to 2500 lb and pipe sizes ranging from 1/8” to 80” (3mm to 2000mm). To get you started quickly, PapriCAD and 2D DESIGNER piping applications ship with several generic carbon steel ANSI pipe specs for 150, 300, 600 and 900 lb ratings.

Customize Material Reports
PapriCAD and 2D DESIGNER’s BOM Settings Manager helps you manage project material reporting effectively and efficiently. Effortlessly create any number of report templates to extract material information to accommodate your project’s schedule, the material availability and delivery timetables. For example, you can create reports to count valves in the P&IDs at an early stage of the project to ensure that such long-term delivery items are available during the construction phase.
- Components to be included in report
- Sorting sequence
- Item numbering format
- Font type, size, grouping headers
- Units displayed: Metric, English or mixed Metric/English units
- Total or cut length of pipe displayed
- Rounding up of pipe totals for ordering purposes
- If BOM is to be placed in a drawing, define CAD options
- Ability to preview reports in case adjustments are necessary

Produce Material Reports
The PapriCAD and 2D DESIGNER BOM Generator helps you efficiently manage each project’s material reports. You can generate a BOM (Bill of Material) from a single drawing, a selected set of drawings or from all the drawings in the project. The BOM Generator allows you to select any template created with the BOM Settings Manager that is tailored to the needs of each report parameters. Create material reports in any of these formats:
- Web format (HTML)
- Excel format (CSV or xls)
- External text file (txt)
- Insert BOM into current CAD drawing or a newly created drawing dedicated to displaying the BOM only
The BOM Generator features enable your company to easily transfer material requirements to the procurement department for ordering. Accurate and timely material reporting reduces waste and ensures material is ordered in time for a successful project.
