Project Manager

The Project Manager is a powerful tool designed to organize project settings and data. It lets you manage every stage of the project giving you full control over project data, specs and standards. With the Project Manager you can assign each project or customer with its own standards to ensure consistency even when many designers are involved.
Project Manager does the following so you don’t have to:
- Provides multiple user access levels to ensure project security and allows for account maintenance
- Allows you to create, copy, delete or edit projects and/or designs
- Functions in a distributed network or as a standalone application
- Sets project units (Metric or English units)
- Creates project line numbers
- Controls layers and color schemes by spec or line numbers
- Allocates piping specs that can be used in the project and/or design
- Sets minimum pipe length between fittings
- Sets weld gaps
- Manages project documents and data: designs, isometrics, 2D drawings and BOM settings

Create Your Own Pipe Specs
Create custom pipe specs with Specification Manager’s source database that includes an extensive array of fittings in a wide variety of ratings and materials.
The Specification Manager allows you to perform the following functions:
- Create, copy, delete or edit unlimited number of piping specs
- Utilize tools to copy from other specs and edit them to suit
- Ensure drawing and model integrity by filtering components that meet a user-specified criteria
- Work with a centralized repository for multi-user access and data maintenance
- View component libraries
Specification Manager’s source database includes ANSI pipe ratings from 150# to 2500# for sizes ranging from 1/8” to 80” or 3mm to 2000mm.
To get you started quickly, all piping applications ship with three generic carbon steel ANSI pipe specs for 150#, 300# and 600# ratings.

Customize Material Reports
3DSMART’s material reporting capability helps you manage project material reporting effectively and efficiently. With the BOM Settings Manager, you are able to customize reports to suit your exact needs, as well as:
- Determine the components to be included in report
- Set sorting sequence
- Define item numbering format
- Decide on the appearance of the report by choosing font type, size, grouping headers ..etc
- Select display units: Metric, English or mixed Metric/English units
- Report total or cut length of pipe
- Define CAD options when BOM is to be placed in a drawing
- Ability to preview reports in case adjustments are necessary
By using the BOM Settings Manager, you can effortlessly create any number of report templates to extract material information to accommodate your project’s schedule, the material availability and delivery timetables.

Produce Material Reports
The BOM Generator helps you manage each project’s material reports with a level of efficiency that only 3DSMART can provide. You can generate material reports for the entire project, a single or a group of 3D models or report by line number(s).
The BOM Generator allows you to select any template created with the BOM Settings Manager that is tailored to the needs of each report parameters.
The BOM Generator creates material reports in any of these formats:
- Web format (HTML)
- Excel format (CSV or xls)
- External text file (txt)
- Insert BOM into current drawing or a newly created drawing dedicated to displaying the BOM only
