Software Deployment Process
Thank you for choosing PROCAD software products. At PROCAD, we pay a great deal of attention to the deployment process to ensure that your software implementation is a stress-free experience. The following steps are designed to simplify PROCAD software deployment at your company.
Software Delivery
Software can be downloaded from PROCAD’s website. If downloading is not possible, you can request product media to be shipped to your company.
- Download 2D DESIGNER or 3DSMART or PapriCAD software from our website: www.procad.com/how-to-get-it/trial
- Unzip and extract the downloaded file
Software Installations
The software installation and licensin g is simple and straightforward. It allows you to get the software installed, licensed and up-and-running in just a few hours. Here’s how it works:
- Read the License Manager User Guide for licensing options. This user guide and other reference manuals (in PDF file format) are stored in a subdirectory where you unzipped the downloaded file. The subdirectory’s name is Manuals.
- Install the software as per instructions from the Installation Guide.
- If you having any difficulties during the installation process, please contact our technical support: support@procad.com
- Run the License Manager. This application can be found in 2D DESIGNER, 3DSMART or PapriCAD shortcut folder(s) on your desktop.
- Click on the License Online button.
- The application opens a web form. Fill out this form with your company information and click on the Submit button.
- You will receive an email from PROCAD with attached license file and instructions on software activation.
Notes on Licensing:
- If you purchased new software (not an upgrade) and you paid for the software by credit card, you will receive a permanent license file.
- If you are upgrading the software and/or have payment terms with PROCAD, you will initially get a 30-day temporary license. This 30-day period allows you:
- Complete the payment for this order
- Generate and submit Kill Codes for the previous version of the software (V2008, V2007 & V2004) when upgrading. This can be done by running the License Manager of the old version of the software.
- If you’re on V2002 or earlier, you must return the hardware locks (dongles) to PROCAD within that 30-day period.
- To receive permanent license(s), you must run the License Manager again and submit a new license request. Permanent activation will be emailed to you.
Software Orientation and Training
After you complete the software acquisition, you may arrange to connect with our technical support staff to do a web Q&A session. This will allow your IT and design staff to ask questions and get clarification for issues that may arise after installation and first use of the software. This service is complimentary and is part of our commitment to a successful software implementation.
